Product Usage
How to Use Splice Leader Tape:
1.Prepare the New Component Reel Unroll the new tape and ensure the cover tape and component cavities are clean and aligned.
2.Attach the Leader Tape Affix the splice leader tape to the beginning of the new component tape (non-component section). Align it precisely to match the tape width (e.g., 8mm, 12mm, 16mm, 24mm).
3.Splice with the Running Tape Use a standard splice tape to connect the leader tape (and new tape) to the tail end of the old reel already in the feeder.
4.Feed the Tape into the Feeder Insert the leader tape into the feeder to allow smooth feeding. The leader tape acts as a guide, helping the new tape move through the feeder mechanism without jamming.
5.Start/Resume Machine Operation The machine will pull the leader and begin placing components once it reaches the active section of the new reel.
